About the Role :

We are looking for an exceptional Principal Architect Java to define and drive the technology architecture for complex, enterprise-scale products and platforms.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technology leader with deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, distributed systems, and cloud-native architecture.

The role will involve working closely with senior business and technology stakeholders, engineering leaders, architects, and product teams to establish architectural direction and deliver highly scalable, secure, and resilient solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and own the overall technology and solution architecture for large-scale enterprise applications and platforms.

- Translate complex business requirements into scalable high-level and low-level technical designs.

- Establish architecture principles, standards, design patterns, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices.

- Lead architecture decisions across Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, databases, APIs, messaging, and distributed systems.

- Design highly scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performance cloud-native solutions.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership and participate in POCs, architecture validation, and complex technical problem-solving.

- Drive cloud architecture and deployment using AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD.

- Architect and optimize AWS solutions leveraging services such as S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, and other relevant cloud services.

- Define and implement Infrastructure as Code, automated deployments, and one-click deployment frameworks.

- Establish observability and monitoring standards using Grafana, Kibana, ELK Stack, InfluxDB, and Sensu.

- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices including DevOps, automation, peer reviews, pair programming, and Agile methodologies.

- Review architecture proposals, technical designs, code, and technology deliverables across multiple engineering teams.

- Mentor and guide Solution Architects, Technical Leads, Senior Engineers, and development squads.

- Lead resolution of complex architectural, production, scalability, and performance issues.

- Drive root-cause analysis and ensure sustainable technical solutions.

- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Security, and Business teams to ensure alignment between technology and business objectives.

- Manage senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve scalability, reliability, productivity, and business value.

- Contribute to the long-term technology roadmap and product architecture strategy.

- Java 11+, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, REST APIs, Design Patterns, Distributed Systems.

2. Cloud & DevOps :

- AWS, AWS S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Automated / One-click Deployments, AWS CLI.

3. Databases & Messaging :

- Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, Kafka, InfluxDB.

4. Monitoring & Observability :

- Grafana, Kibana, ELK Stack, Sensu, InfluxDB.

Required Qualifications :

- 14 to 25 years of overall software engineering experience.

- Extensive experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, and technical design.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and distributed systems.

- Extensive experience designing and implementing AWS cloud solutions.

- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Jenkins, and CI/CD.

- Proven experience in building and scaling enterprise-grade or product-based applications.

- Strong expertise in architecture patterns, scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

- Expert-level coding, debugging, and issue-resolution capabilities.

- Strong experience working in a DevOps environment.

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

- Minimum 2 years of product development experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent certification.

- Experience with large-scale digital transformation or cloud modernization initiatives.

- Experience working with global stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MCA, M.Tech, or related discipline.
