Information System Consultant - ITIL Frameworks

Location : Bangalore.

Skills :

- Above 10+ years of experience as Backup SME with technical leadership skills.

- A self-driven, highly organized SME who has extensive technical skills with multiple backup, storage technology and an excellent communicator.

- Expert Level knowledge in Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup and DELL EMC Avamar.

- Technical Expert who can handle the environment without any dependency and guide the backup team on daily operations.

- In-depth understanding about Backup architecture, and storage repositories.

- Should have experience in Build and configure of Backup servers, Appliances and its components.

- Responsible for gathering requirements, installation, configuration, and testing of backups in a high availability enterprise system.

- Perform routine disaster recovery scenarios.

- Maintain backup policies and standard Storage Retentions.

- Troubleshoot performance problems and propose solutions.

- Availability on priority / escalation tickets and Bridge Calls.

- Work with Product support vendor for chronic issues.

- Assisting team on Offsite Data Storage and delivery.

- Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers, disk, and tape storage devices.

- Create and maintain in-house documentation for repeatable processes.

- Knowledge on ITIL processes like Incident management, Problem Management and Change Management processes.

- Excellent problem solving, planning and organizing skills, a flexible approach with good verbal and written English communication skills.

- Experience on Tape array, drives and Library Management.

- Backup Installation and configuration experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 and above, Solaris, RedHat Enterprise Linux and higher.

- Knowledge on SAN and FC networks.

- Strong understanding of TCP/IP communications.

- Ability to understand Business requirements and translate them into technology solutions.

- Participate in 7x24 on-call support rotation and expected to work during mission critical situations.

Desired Skills :

- Experience with Windows Servers and ITIL.

- Knowledge of Windows Cluster and Linux operating systems.

- Knowledge of VMware ESX and Hyper-V.

- Knowledge of Monitoring tools and configuration.

- Experience in SAN, fabrics and Host to SAN connectivity
