Informatica BDM Developer - ETL

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop scalable and reusable mappings, transformations, and workflows for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

- Work with big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Hive, HDFS, Spark, etc.) to integrate Informatica BDM solutions into

enterprise data platforms.

- Collaborate with data architects and business stakeholders to understand requirements, data models, and transformation rules.

- Optimize mappings and workflows to ensure high performance and low-latency processing across distributed systems.

- Develop data pipelines to ingest, cleanse, transform, and load data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, flat files, cloud storage, etc.

- Implement best practices for error handling, data quality checks, and metadata management within ETL processes.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments and manage version control for Informatica workflows.

- Conduct unit testing, UAT support, and production support for developed workflows.

- Create detailed technical documentation of mappings, workflows, and architecture for long-term maintainability.

Must-Have Skills :

- Proficiency in ETL design and development, including mappings, transformations, workflows, and performance tuning.

- Hands-on experience with Hadoop ecosystem tools (HDFS, Hive, Spark, MapReduce, Sqoop, etc.

- Strong SQL skills and experience working with RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)

- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and data integration best practices.

- Proficiency in performance optimization of Informatica mappings and workflows.

- Understanding of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) or related cloud ETL tools.

- Knowledge of scripting languages (Unix Shell, Python, etc.) for automation.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, etc.

- Experience with real-time/streaming data processing (Kafka, Flink, etc.

Qualifications :

- 4 - 7 years of experience in ETL development, with at least 23 years in Informatica BDM.

- Proven track record in delivering large-scale, complex data integration projects.
