Job Title : Snowflake Developer (with Snowpipe, SQL, SnowSQL Experience)

About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Developer to join our data engineering team.

As a Snowflake Developer, you will play a key role in building, optimizing, and managing data pipelines and developing solutions that leverage Snowflake's cloud data platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Snowflake, particularly with Snowpipe for data ingestion, and proficiency in SQL and SnowSQL scripting.

Responsibilities :

- Strong proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.

- Extensive experience with ETL processes and tools.

- Solid understanding of data modeling and database design principles.

- Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines in Snowflake.

- Implement Snowpipe for continuous and automated data ingestion from various sources into Snowflake.

- Write complex SQL queries for data transformation, reporting, and analysis.

- Create and maintain SnowSQL scripts for automating tasks such as data loading, data transformations, and data retrieval.

- Develop stored procedures for data processing, transformation, and complex business logic implementation.

- Optimize stored procedures for performance, ensuring minimal resource usage and reduced execution times.

- Develop Snowflake data models (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema) for optimized query performance.

- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across the data pipeline.

- Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize query performance within Snowflake.

- Monitor Snowpipe ingestion processes and resolve any data loading issues.

- Collaborate with other teams (e.g., Data Engineers, Business Intelligence Analysts) to define and deliver data solutions that meet business requirements.

- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines and Snowflake-related processes.

- Stay up to date with Snowflake platform updates and best practices.

Requirements :

- Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer or similar data engineering role.

- Strong experience with Snowflake architecture and features, including Snowpipe for automated data ingestion.

- Proficient in writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.

- Familiarity with SnowSQL for task automation and scripting.

- Experience with data warehousing concepts, schema design (e.g., star/snowflake schemas), and ETL processes.

- Knowledge of data integration tools and experience working with cloud-based data sources and data lakes.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize Snowflake environments.

- Familiarity with Snowflake security features (roles, permissions) and data governance best practices.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
