Infocus Technologies - SAP ABAP/RAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using SAP ABAP on S/4HANA and RAP (Restful Application Programming Model).

- Design and expose OData V4 services using RAP for integration with SAP Fiori Elements and external systems.

- Work on Fiori Elements/UI5 applications for seamless front-end integration.

- Collaborate with functional consultants, solution architects, and business teams for end-to-end delivery.

- Perform unit testing, performance tuning, debugging, and troubleshooting of RAP-based applications.

- Ensure adherence to SAP development standards, best practices, and quality guidelines.

- Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

- Support the migration of legacy ABAP applications to the RAP-based architecture.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP S/4HANA innovations, ABAP RAP advancements, and Fiori/UI5 trends.

Technical Requirements :

- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP (OOABAP, CDS Views, AMDP, BOPF, OData).

- Hands-on experience with RAP (Restful Application Programming Model) in S/4HANA.

- Experience in building and consuming OData V2/V4 services.

- Proficiency in Fiori Elements and SAP UI5 for front-end integration.

- Solid understanding of Core Data Services (CDS), Annotations, and Business Services.

- Strong knowledge of debugging, performance optimization, and troubleshooting tools in SAP.

- Familiarity with S/4HANA extensibility options (In-App and Side-by-Side extensions).

- Knowledge of cloud-based deployments (SAP BTP, CAP) is desirable.

- Proficiency in transport management, change requests, and upgrade projects.

Preferred Candidate Profile :

- Experience: 49 years in SAP S/4HANA ABAP development, with significant exposure to RAP.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative cross-functional team.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and stakeholder management.
