Responsibilities :
Core Responsibilities :
- Analyze raw data : Assess data quality, perform cleansing, and structure datasets for efficient downstream processing.
- Develop scalable predictive models : Design and build highly accurate, scalable machine-learning algorithms for various business use cases.
- Collaborate with engineering teams : Partner with engineering to deploy models and convert analytical prototypes into robust production systems.
- Generate actionable insights : Translate data findings into clear recommendations that drive strategic business improvements and measurable outcomes.
Senior-Level Responsibilities :
- Lead analytical initiatives : Own end-to-end data science projects, from scoping and design to implementation and performance optimization.
- Mentor and guide junior data scientists : Provide technical direction, review model architectures, and support career development.
- Influence data strategy : Work with product, business, and engineering leadership to shape long-term data science, experimentation, and analytics roadmaps.
- Ensure model governance : Establish best practices in model validation, monitoring, and lifecycle management to maintain reliability at scale.
- Drive innovation : Identify opportunities to integrate advanced techniques, emerging tools, and automation to elevate data science capabilities.
Qualifications :
Education :
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.
Experience :
- 6 to 10 years of experience in quantitative analytics, data modeling, or data science roles.
Technical Expertise :
- Deep understanding of predictive modeling, machine-learning techniques, clustering, classification, and algorithmic design.
- Fluency in at least one programming language : Python, C, C++, Java, SQL.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data frameworks such as Cassandra, Hadoop, and Spark.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (e., Tableau).
Soft Skills :
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Leadership qualities with experience mentoring or guiding technical teams
