S/4 HANA BASIS resource who has 7+ years of experience in HANA/BASIS on RedHat (RHEL) or SUSE SLES, with HANA configuration experience and have experience on setting up Databases. Cloud Administration, ASE and DB2 administration with SAP RISE experience.

SAP S/4HANA Basis role on SLES (SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) involves managing the technical infrastructure for SAP S/4HANA systems, including OS administration, database management (SAP HANA), and SAP software deployment and maintenance. This role focuses on ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the SAP S/4HANA environment on SLES.

Cloud Experience : Experience on Cloud platform like GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or AWS (Amazon Web services)

HA and DR setup : Experience in managing Cross region landscapes and setting up of HA and DR for S/4 HANA for both application, HANA, DB2 databases layer and backend services.

OS Administration :

- Managing SLES for SAP, including installation, configuration, updates, patching, and security hardening.

- Configuring storage (Logical Volume Management - LVM, RAID (DB Backend), NFS (Network File systems)) and network (bonding, VLANs) for SAP applications.

- Monitoring system resources and performance, and tuning for optimal SAP performance.

SAP HANA Database Management :

- Assisting in setting up and maintaining SAP HANA databases.

- Managing HANA database users, security, and permissions.

- Monitoring HANA performance and tuning.

- HANA DB, Oracle, DB2 and any other DB experience preferred.

SAP System Administration :

- Performing BASIS activities like system/server administration, transport management, Fiori Launchpad configuration, web dispatcher/router setup.

- Managing user accounts, authorizations, and system security.

- Collaborating with SAP engineers to ensure the environment meets SAP requirements.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving :

- Troubleshooting SLES and SAP HANA-related issues impacting SAP operations.

- Working with other teams to resolve complex issues.

Skills and Experience :

- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems, particularly SLES.

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA architecture and deployments.

- Familiarity with SAP HANA database management.

- Experience with SAP Basis activities, including system administration, transport management, and security.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
