Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Tech Lead to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, and Kafka, along with experience in leading technical teams, driving architecture decisions, and mentoring developers. The role requires a hands-on technical leader who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to build enterprise-grade backend systems while ensuring engineering excellence and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable backend applications.

- Design and develop RESTful APIs and Microservices using Java and Spring Boot.

- Drive technical architecture discussions and establish backend development best practices.

- Review code and ensure adherence to coding standards, quality, and security guidelines.

- Mentor and guide development teams, fostering technical excellence.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, QA, DevOps, and Frontend teams.

- Identify technical risks and define mitigation strategies.

- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Drive CI/CD implementation and DevOps best practices.

- Participate in sprint planning, estimations, and technical roadmap discussions.

- Ensure application security, compliance, and production readiness.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

Required Skills :

- Strong experience in Core Java (Java 8/11/17+)

- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

- Strong understanding of Microservices Architecture

- Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs

- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services

- Experience with Apache Kafka

- Good understanding of multithreading, concurrency, and JVM performance tuning.

- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Familiarity with Git, Maven/Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes is preferred.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Mandatory Skills : Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, AWS, Kafka.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Prior experience leading development teams and mentoring engineers.

- Exposure to cloud-native architectures and containerization technologies is an added advantage.
