Role Overview :



We are looking for a SME with domain expertise in Telecom to support both pre-sales and delivery activities for our data engineering/data science and broader consulting and analytics solutions. This hybrid role blends client-facing analysis, business discovery, solution scoping, and project execution. You will collaborate with telecom clients to understand their business needs and work with internal technical teams to design and deliver scalable, insight-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities :





Client Engagement & Pre-Sales :


- Participate in discovery sessions with prospective clients to understand business challenges, current state, and data maturity.


- Collaborate with sales and solution architects to define business use cases, target outcomes, and solution scope.

Develop pre-sales collateral including :


- Client problem statements and tailored value propositions


- Functional requirement outlines


- Workflow/process maps and high-level solution blueprints


- Contributions to RFPs/RFIs, SOWs, and proposals


- Conduct competitive and market research to inform solution design and positioning.


- Support creation and delivery of client-facing presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept

plans.

Project Delivery & Execution :


- Translate client business requirements into clear user stories and functional specifications for technical teams.


- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and visualization experts to shape data pipelines, analytical models, and dashboards.


- Lead or support requirement workshops, stakeholder interviews, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.


- Validate outputs against business needs through UAT and feedback sessions with clients.


- Manage documentation including BRDs, wireframes, data dictionaries, test cases, and SOPs.

Industry & Domain Expertise :


- Bring domain knowledge in areas such as Network Operations, OSS/BSS, Service Delivery, Customer Experience, Revenue Assurance, and Telco Analytics.


- Work with common data assets and platforms (e.g., subscriber and usage data, billing systems, CRM, network management systems, traffic analytics, spectrum management tools, regulatory databases).


- Stay current with regulatory frameworks (TRAI, GDPR for customer data privacy, lawful intercept, telecom licensing requirements) and trends in digital transformation, 5G, IoT, and cloud communications in the telecom sector.

Qualifications/Requirements :


- 12+ years of experience in business analysis roles supporting pharma/life sciences clients

ideally at a consulting, analytics, or digital services firm.


- Strong understanding of data & analytics lifecycle (from ingestion to insight) and ability to

bridge business needs with technical solutions.


- Experience contributing to pre-sales deliverables, proposals, and solution design workshops.


- Hands-on experience with tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and familiarity with modern data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks).


- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to senior client stakeholders.


- Experience with Data-warehousing/Visualization tools such as Databricks, Snowflake, Qliksense & Power BI.


- Experience with CRM/MCM tools (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce), and data models like OMOP or

CDISC.


- Familiarity with cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) and agile delivery methods.


- MBA, MPH, or a relevant masters degree.


- Business analysis or pre-sales certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Pre-Sales Technical

Consultant certs).

Soft Skills :


- Consultative mindset with strong business acumen.


- Ability to synthesize complex business needs into structured solutions.


- Comfortable working across cross-functional teams and ambiguous client environments.


- Strong storytelling, documentation, and client presentation abilities.
