Indoor Positioning Engineer - Embedded System

Role Overview :

We are looking for an Indoor Positioning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy accurate and scalable indoor navigation systems. The role involves building localization algorithms, applying machine learning techniques, and integrating mobile and backend components to deliver seamless real-time positioning solutions across complex indoor environments such as hospitals, malls, and campuses.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and deploy indoor positioning systems using technologies such as BLE, Wi-Fi, and sensor fusion

- Develop and optimize fingerprinting-based localization algorithms for real-time navigation

- Apply and fine-tune machine learning models (e.g., WKNN, SVM) for improved positioning accuracy

- Enhance signal stability using filtering techniques (Kalman filter, smoothing, outlier removal)

- Build and integrate mobile-side localization modules (Android/iOS/Flutter)

- Collaborate with backend, mapping, and product teams to deliver end-to-end navigation solutions

- Conduct on-site testing, calibration, and performance evaluation in real-world environments

- Continuously improve system accuracy, latency, and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong understanding of indoor positioning techniques (RSSI, fingerprinting, trilateration)

- Experience with machine learning algorithms (WKNN, SVM, clustering methods)

- Proficiency in programming (Python, Dart/Flutter, or similar)

- Experience with signal processing and filtering techniques

- Familiarity with BLE beacons, Wi-Fi positioning, or IoT systems

- Understanding of mobile app development and SDK integration

- Problem-solving mindset with attention to real-world constraints

Good to Have :

- Experience with map rendering (Mapbox, MapLibre, or similar)

- Knowledge of sensor fusion (IMU, accelerometer, gyroscope)

- Experience working with large indoor datasets and calibration pipelines

- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and scalable system design
