Indium Software - Automation Test Engineer - Selenium/TestNG

Location : WFO Chennai, all 5 days is mandatory for couple of months and later it will be 4 days in a week (will be decided based on the resource commitment, deliverables and performance)

Responsibilities :

- 3 + years of Strong experience in Java selenium OR Javascript and Cypress

- Good knowledge and exposure in Testng Framework.

- Automation Strategy : Solution specialist and develop automation frameworks for UI, API, and integration testing using Javascript or Typescript, Cypress, RestAssured, and other relevant tools.

- Framework Enhancement & Optimization : Continuously optimize and enhance existing test frameworks to improve efficiency, scalability, and reusability across teams and projects.

- Test Case Development : Collaborate with QA, development, and product teams to develop and maintain automated test cases that ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of applications.

- API Automation : Create and maintain robust API testing frameworks using tools like RestAssured for automated validation of backend services.

- CI/CD Integration : Implement automation frameworks into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines, integrating with tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.

- Collaboration & Communication : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps engineers, and QA, to align automation efforts with project timelines.

- Test Metrics & Reporting : Provide detailed reports on test coverage, automation status, and defect tracking to key stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills :

- Experience with Cloud-based testing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).

- Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks like SpecFlow.

- Performance Testing : Integrate performance testing into the automation pipeline to ensure system robustness under load.

- Familiarity with database automation and testing.
