Role Overview :

We are looking for a Software Testing Engineer with 4- 6 years of hands-on experience in JavaCard technology and smart card testing.

This role requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual who thrives in an open, innovative, and technically challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and execute functional and automated test cases for JavaCard applets and secure elements

- Validate compliance with GlobalPlatform and ISO 7816/14443 standards

- Perform rigorous testing of smart card applications, including both contact and contactless interfaces

- Collaborate closely with developers and other QA engineers to identify defects and suggest improvements

- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium

- Review and interpret requirements, specifications, and technical design documents

- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software through continuous testing and validation

- Contribute to test plans, test reports, and defect documentation

- Stay updated on industry trends and evolving testing practices for secure elements and embedded applications

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field

- 4- 6 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on smart card and secure element testing

- Hands-on experience in JavaCard applet testing

- In-depth understanding of GlobalPlatform, ISO 7816, and ISO 14443 protocols

- Experience with automation testing tools such as Selenium

- Strong programming/scripting knowledge, preferably in Java and Python

- Familiarity with tools for card communication and testing (e.g., GlobalPlatformPro, GPShell)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment

Preferred Attributes :

- Experience in working with smart card personalization tools

- Exposure to EMV, NFC-based technologies

- ISTQB or similar certification is a plus

- Passion for exploring embedded and security technologies
