Job Title : Data Analyst Cost Optimization

Experience Range : 2 - 4 YRS

Education Qualification : Bachelors degree in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or a related field.

Technical Skills :

- Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis or modeling.

- Familiarity with maritime data sources (AIS, Clarkson, Lloyds List Intelligence, Baltic Exchange, etc.) is a plus.

Soft Skills :

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders.

- Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Knowledge of charter party contracts, voyage economics, and bunker markets.

- Understanding of fleet operations and marine logistics.

- Experience working with geospatial/marine tracking data.

Working days : (Monday - Friday) , flexible to work in any shift

Additional Details/Specific Requirements :

Main Responsibilities :

- Collect, clean, and analyse data related to DA data, Vendor costs ability, port operations, and market rates.

- Develop dashboards and regular reports to support procurement decisions to identify and negotiate direct billing costs with vendors

- Track market rates in relation to agency costs, competitor activity in relation to handling charterers agents vs spot agents

- Analyze SOF data to benchmark vessel turn around of clients with the similar vessels

- Create models to identify opportunities to save on demurrage and vessel turn around

- Work closely with commercial, operations, and procurement departments to identify data-driven

opportunities.

- Assist in digital transformation initiatives, such as integrating with external & internal systems & data

streams into analytics platforms.

- Provide ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling for strategic and tactical decisionmaking.

- Maintain data integrity and governance standards across systems and reporting tools
