Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Lead .NET Developer with 8 - 10 years of hands-on software development experience in C# and the .NET ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in modernizing and upgrading existing applications, particularly migrating legacy .NET applications to .NET 8 and .NET 10.

The role involves working on brownfield projects, enhancing existing systems, improving application performance, and supporting deployments across on-premises and cloud environments.

The candidate should have practical experience with Azure cloud services, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and SQL.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise applications using C#, .NET, and related technologies.

- Upgrade and modernize existing .NET applications, including migration to .NET 8 and .NET 10.

- Analyze legacy codebases, identify technical dependencies, and implement modernization strategies.

- Work on brownfield projects involving existing applications, integrations, and complex codebases.

- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and efficient code following established coding standards and best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance bottlenecks, and production issues.

- Develop and optimize SQL queries and work with relational databases as required.

- Deploy and support applications across on-premises infrastructure and cloud environments.

- Work with Microsoft Azure services for application hosting, configuration, monitoring, and deployment.

- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support automated build and release processes using DevOps tools.

- Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality solutions.

Technical Skills :

- 8 - 10 years of overall software development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with C# and the .NET ecosystem.

- Demonstrated experience in .NET application upgrades and modernization.

- Experience working on brownfield development projects.

- Exposure to Azure, DevOps, CI/CD, and hybrid deployment environments.

- Ability to work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC).

Technical Competencies :

- C# and .NET : Strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET Core, and modern .NET development.

- .NET Upgradation : Practical experience upgrading existing applications to .NET 8 and/or .NET 10, including dependency compatibility, breaking changes, and application modernization.

- Brownfield Development : Experience working with legacy applications, understanding existing codebases, and implementing enhancements without disrupting existing functionality.

- Azure : Hands-on experience deploying or supporting .NET applications on Microsoft Azure.

- DevOps and CI/CD : Experience with build and release pipelines, automated deployments, and version control using tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.

- Deployment : Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications in both on-premises and cloud environments.

- SQL : Good understanding of SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and query optimization.

- Coding and Problem-Solving : Strong programming fundamentals, debugging skills, and the ability to write production-quality code.
