Ignition Developer - SCADA

Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop, configure, and deploy SCADA/HMI applications using Ignition Perspective and Vision modules.

- Write and optimize Python (Jython) scripts to automate processes and improve system functionality.

- Create and manage SQL queries, database structures, and historian configurations.

- Design intuitive and responsive UIs using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript within Ignition.

- Integrate Ignition with various industrial systems using MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, and other

communication protocols.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing SCADA systems for performance optimization.

- Collaborate with engineering and OT/IT teams to define requirements and ensure smooth project execution.

- Ensure system security, scalability, and reliability across deployments.

- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, and project reports.

- Support commissioning, testing, and on-site/remote deployments as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Strong experience with the Ignition platform (Perspective & Vision modules).

- Proficient in Python scripting (Jython) and SQL query development.

- Good understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript for UI development.

- Familiarity with industrial protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus.

Certifications :

- Ignition Core Certification (preferred)

- Ignition Gold Certification (added advantage)

Experience :

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in SCADA/HMI development, with a strong focus on the

Ignition platform.

- Hands-on experience integrating Ignition with various industrial devices and control systems.

- Experience working in manufacturing, industrial automation, or process control environments (preferred).
