Key Responsibilities :
As a QA Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include :
- Test Automation Development : Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and frameworks using Java, Cucumber for BDD, REST Assured for API testing, and Serenity for comprehensive reporting.
- API and Microservices Testing : Execute thorough test cases for our diverse suite of APIs, microservices, and cloud-based applications, ensuring their functional correctness, performance, and security.
- Manual & Performance Testing : Utilize Postman for efficient manual API testing and collaborate closely with the team to set up and leverage Gatling for critical performance validation and load testing.
- CI/CD Integration : Actively participate in the continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) testing workflows, integrating automated tests with tools like Jenkins and managing project dependencies with Maven.
- Cloud Environment Collaboration : Work hand-in-hand with our DevOps teams to effectively test applications deployed and running within containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes - specifically AKS/EKS) on leading cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.
- Test Environment Management : Assist in the preparation, configuration, and ongoing management of test environments, utilizing tools like Helm for Kubernetes package management and Kustomize for configuration customization.
- Payment Domain Validation : Provide essential support in validating complex payment flows, including APDU commands, payment authorization, and tokenization flows, ensuring strict adherence to industry standards like EMV and ISO 20022.
Ideal Candidate Profile :
We're looking for an individual who embodies the following :
- Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on QA experience, with a strong preference for candidates who are automation-focused.
- Technical Proficiency : Demonstrated experience with our core technology stack : Cucumber, REST Assured, Serenity, Postman, Jenkins, and Maven.
- Testing Fundamentals : A solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and the full software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Domain Aptitude : A genuine passion for and willingness to grow within the digital payments domain.
- Cloud & Modern Tools : An eagerness to learn and adapt to new cloud-native tools and modern testing techniques.
- Team Player & Communicator : A strong team player with excellent collaboration and communication skills, capable of working effectively in an agile environment.
Domain Knowledge (Basic to Intermediate) :
- Card Tokenization : Understanding of the concepts and processes involved in card tokenization.
- Payment Authorization : Basics of payment authorization flows and their various stages.
- EMV & ISO 20022 : Introductory knowledge of APDU format, EMV specifications, and ISO 20022 messaging standards is a significant plus.
