Job Description :

We are looking for a skilled and motivated PHP Developer with a minimum of 2 years of experience in web application development. The candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL/MariaDB, and front-end web technologies.

Knowledge and experience in Python (minimum 1 year) will be considered an added advantage, particularly for scripting, automation, API integration, and data processing.

The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, enhancing, and supporting existing web applications while working closely with the development team to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP.

- Work on existing and new web application development projects.

- Develop and maintain backend functionality using PHP.

- Work with MySQL/MariaDB databases and write efficient SQL queries.

- Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs.

- Work with MVC architecture and PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter.

- Develop and maintain front-end functionality using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application-related issues.

- Perform application testing and fix identified bugs.

- Optimize application performance and database queries.

- Collaborate with team members to understand and implement business requirements.

- Maintain proper code quality and follow development standards.

- Support deployment and maintenance activities when required.

- Participate in code reviews and application enhancement activities.

Required Skills:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in PHP development.

- Strong knowledge of Core PHP.

- Experience with MySQL or MariaDB databases.

- Strong knowledge of SQL queries, joins, stored procedures, and database operations.

- Experience working with PHP frameworks such as CodeIgniter or similar MVC frameworks.

- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

- Experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.

- Understanding of MVC architecture.

- Knowledge of form handling, session management, authentication, and authorization.

- Good knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting web applications.

- Basic understanding of web application security practices.

- Experience using version control systems such as Git.

- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Python Skills:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in Python development or scripting.

- Experience with Python automation, scripting, and API integration.

- Experience in data processing and automation tasks.

- Knowledge of database connectivity using Python.

- Familiarity with handling JSON, CSV, Excel, or other data formats using Python.

Note:

PHP experience of 2+ years is mandatory. Python experience of approximately 1 year is preferred and will be considered an added advantage, but it is not mandatory for the position.
