IBM Storage Fusion Engineer

Description : We are seeking an experienced IBM Storage Fusion Engineer to design, deploy, and manage container-native storage solutions using IBM Storage Fusion. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments and modern data management practices.

Key Responsibilities :

- Deploy, configure, and manage IBM Storage Fusion in enterprise environments

- Work with Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes for containerized application platforms

- Implement container-native storage solutions using Ceph / OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF)

- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery using IBM Fusion Data Protection

- Monitor storage performance, availability, and capacity planning

- Integrate storage solutions with hybrid and multi-cloud environments

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and storage-related issues

- Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for storage optimization

- Ensure security, compliance, and best practices in data management

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4-10 years of experience in storage, infrastructure, or cloud engineering

- Hands-on experience with IBM Storage Fusion or similar platforms

- Strong knowledge of :

1. Kubernetes / OpenShift

2. Container-native storage (Ceph, ODF, Portworx, etc.)

3. Linux administration

- Experience with :

1. Backup & disaster recovery solutions

2. Storage protocols (NFS, iSCSI, S3/Object storage)

- Understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, ingress)

- Scripting knowledge (Shell/Python) is a plus

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with IBM Cloud / Hybrid Cloud environments

- Familiarity with Ansible / Terraform for automation

- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

- IBM or Red Hat certifications (OpenShift, Storage, etc.)

- Experience in enterprise environments (BFSI, Telecom, Healthcare, etc.)

Soft Skills :

- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

- Good communication and stakeholder management

- Ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments
