IBM Sterling EDI Developer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IBM Sterling EDI Developer with 5+ years of strong hands-on experience in designing, developing, and supporting IBM Sterling B2B Integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth expertise in handling retail EDI transactions such as 850, 855, 856, 810, 832, 867, 846, and 870, ensuring seamless and accurate data exchange with trading partners.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (Sterling Integrator) solutions for EDI/B2B data exchange.

- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable EDI integration solutions.

- Develop and configure EDI maps (e.g., X12, EDIFACT, IDOC) and implement custom transformation logic and business rules.

- Manage and configure trading partner profiles and communication protocols including AS2, FTP, SFTP, VAN, REST, and JMS.

- Monitor, support, and troubleshoot EDI transactions to ensure data integrity and SLA adherence.

- Collaborate with business analysts and cross-functional teams to gather technical and business requirements.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client-specific requirements for EDI data exchange.

- Provide support during deployment, testing, and production rollouts.

- Demonstrate flexibility to work during EST time zone and maintain proactive customer communication.

- Utilize ServiceNow for incident management, service requests, and workflow automation.

Required Skills :

- 5+ years of experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (formerly GIS).

- Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, IDOC).

- Expertise in retail EDI transaction sets.

- Hands-on experience in map development, business process modeling, and system integration.

- Familiarity with industry-standard communication protocols.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

- Effective verbal and written communication.
