Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced IBM OpenPages Consultant Java to design, implement, and support OpenPages-based governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in IBM OpenPages configuration, customization, and integration, along with strong Java programming skills.

You will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate GRC requirements into scalable solutions using OpenPages platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and customize IBM OpenPages solutions to meet client-specific business requirements.

- Develop and maintain Java-based custom components, APIs, and integrations within the OpenPages ecosystem.

- Configure Object structures, workflows, triggers, UI layouts, and data models in OpenPages.

- Implement OpenPages modules such as Operational Risk, Compliance Management, Policy Management, or Internal Audit.

- Integrate OpenPages with external systems (e.g., LDAP, SSO, databases, IBM Cognos, REST APIs).

- Ensure alignment of configurations with GRC frameworks, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.

- Develop and enhance OpenPages extensions using Java, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.

- Work with OpenPages SDKs for creating and managing custom components.

- Customize UI components and dashboards for enhanced user experience.

- Build automation scripts and utilities for deployment, data migration, and system maintenance.

- Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to ensure proper testing, release, and performance tuning.

- Provide L3 technical support for OpenPages implementations and troubleshoot complex application issues.

- Monitor and optimize OpenPages performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Participate in platform upgrades, patching, and environment management.

- Maintain detailed technical documentation, configuration guides, and deployment procedures.

- Partner with business analysts, architects, and GRC domain experts to understand client needs.

- Collaborate with IBM support and vendor teams for issue resolution and enhancements.

- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and delivery milestones.

- Support pre-sales activities, including solution demonstrations, RFP responses, and technical proposals (if required).

Required Qualifications & Skills :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise software development, with 3+ years specifically in IBM OpenPages implementation or customization.

- Strong Java/J2EE development skills, including frameworks like Spring or Struts.

- Proficiency in OpenPages architecture, data model, and configuration tools.

- Experience with OpenPages APIs, SDKs, and RESTful Web Services.

- Hands-on experience with JavaScript, HTML, XML, and SQL.

- Familiarity with IBM Cognos BI integration and report development within OpenPages.

- Experience integrating OpenPages with LDAP/SSO and other enterprise systems.

- Understanding of GRC concepts, risk frameworks (COSO, Basel, SOX, ISO 27001), and regulatory requirements.

- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
