Position : IBM MQMFT - Managed File Transfer

Role Summary :
This role involves working with IBM MQ Managed File Transfer (MFT) to configure, administer, and maintain secure and reliable file transfer solutions.
The individual will be responsible for ensuring the successful, automated, and secure movement of large volumes of data across various platforms and systems.
Job Overview :
- 6+ yrs of IT Experience and atleast 4+ yrs of working experience in IBM MQMFT - Managed File Transfer applications with strong technical skills.
- Able to install/upgrade of IBM MQMFT Software.
- Able to create/migrate IBM MFT agents, monitors/jobs.
- Able to unit test the MFT jobs, support integration testing.
- Experience in windows and Linux operating system commands and shell scripting.
- Good coordination skills to working with partner teams such as end application teams,
- Infrastructure teams, testing teams and project manager and good communication skills.
- Should be able to drive and lead the program independently and adhere to the scheduled timelines
- Role requiring IBM MQ MFT experience would focus on the administration, deployment, and troubleshooting of Managed File Transfer (MFT) systems using IBM MQ, including scripting for automation, management of security protocols (SSL/TLS, SFTP), working with IBM MQ and other middleware, and familiarity with ITIL and change management processes.
Key Responsibilities :
System Administration :
- Deploying, configuring, and administering IBM MQ MFT agents and coordination queue managers.
Automation :
- Developing and implementing scripting (Shell, Python, Perl) to automate file transfer processes and system tasks.
Security Management :
- Managing SSL/TLS certificates, secure file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS), and other security mechanisms to ensure data protection.
Troubleshooting :
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to MFT configurations, file transfer failures, and connectivity problems.
Integration :
- Working with IBM MQ, WebSphere Application Server, and other middleware to integrate MFT with existing
enterprise systems.
Monitoring & Auditing :
- Utilizing audit trails and potentially MFT database loggers to ensure compliance and provide full visibility into file transfer activities.
Documentation :
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation for MFT configurations and processes.
ITIL Practices :
- Adhering to ITIL practices for incident and change management, possibly using tools like ServiceNow.
Required Skills & Experience :
- IBM MFT : 4+ years of hands-on experience with IBM MQ Managed File Transfer, IBM Sterling File Gateway, or Connect: Direct.
- IBM MQ : Working knowledge of IBM MQ, including its queues, channels, and coordination queue manager concepts.
- Operating Systems : Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting (Shell, Bash, Perl).
- Security Protocols : Hands-on experience with certificate management, SSL/TLS, SFTP, and FTPS.
- Networking : Understanding of network components, TCP/IP, and network storage is beneficial.
- Middleware : Familiarity with other middleware tools such as WebSphere Application Server.
