Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications.

They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.

We are looking for an experienced IBM Datacap professional to join our enterprise content management (ECM) team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting Datacap solutions for document capture and intelligent data extraction workflows.


Key Responsibilities :


- Design and develop document capture workflows using IBM Datacap Insight Edition / Taskmaster.

- Configure Datacap components such as Datacap Studio, FastDoc, Datacap Navigator, and Datacap Rulerunner.

- Develop custom rules and actions using Datacap Rulesets and VB.NET or C# scripting.

- Integrate Datacap with other IBM ECM tools like FileNet P8 or Content Navigator.

- Configure OCR/ICR/OMR recognition engines and optimize accuracy (ABBYY, Nuance, etc.)

- Support installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Datacap environments.

- Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Perform testing, debugging, and deployment of Datacap applications.

- Ensure proper documentation, version control, and change management.

- Provide technical support and training to end-users and administrators.


Required Skills and Qualifications :


- 7+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Datacap (v9.x preferred).

- Strong understanding of document imaging, OCR/ICR, and data capture workflows.

- Proficient in Datacap Studio, Datacap Rulerunner, and Datacap Navigator.

- Experience with VB.NET, JavaScript, C#, or other scripting languages used in Datacap.

- Working knowledge of Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server / DB2.

- Familiarity with integration to IBM FileNet / ECM platforms.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
