Role Overview :

As an IAM Staff Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) infrastructure. Your daily activities will involve collaborating with security architects, application development teams, and infrastructure engineers to ensure secure and seamless access to our critical systems and data. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our IAM strategy, driving adoption of modern IAM technologies, and ensuring compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Your work directly impacts the security posture of the organization, protecting sensitive data and enabling business agility.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement robust IAM solutions, including authentication, authorization, and access governance, to secure our applications and infrastructure.

- Lead the integration of IAM systems with various applications and platforms, ensuring seamless user experience and adherence to security policies.

- Develop and maintain IAM policies, standards, and procedures to ensure consistent and secure access management practices across the organization.

- Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses of IAM systems, identifying and mitigating potential risks and vulnerabilities.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior IAM engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

- Automate IAM processes and workflows to improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance the overall security posture.

- Collaborate with audit and compliance teams to ensure IAM systems meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex IAM-related issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users and application teams.

- Evaluate and recommend new IAM technologies and solutions to enhance our security capabilities and improve operational efficiency.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-level IAM solutions, including experience with technologies such as Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, or similar platforms.

- Proven ability to develop and implement IAM policies, standards, and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

- Strong understanding of authentication and authorization protocols, such as OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex IAM-related issues.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

- Adaptability to a hybrid work environment, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues both in-person and remotely.

- Minimum of 11 to 15 years of experience in Information Security with a focus on Identity and Access Management.
