Job Title : Network Engineer (5-7 Years Experience)

Location : Chennai/Trichy (Remote) Supporting UK Customers

Shift Timing : 1 :00 PM - 10 :00 PM IST

Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Program Network Engineer with 5-7 years of proven expertise to independently manage, operate, and troubleshoot complex network environments. This role requires providing high-quality support to our UK-based customers during UK business hours, ensuring network availability, performance, and security. Beyond strong technical skills, the ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication abilities and a solution-oriented mindset, with the capability to engage directly with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teamsnot just executing instructions but also contributing to design, implementation, and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities :

- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).

- Independently resolve network incidents and service requests within SLA.

- Perform network configuration, upgrades, and patch management.

- Work with global teams to ensure seamless network operations.

- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.

- Document network designs, processes, incident reports, and knowledge transfers.

- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to design and implement solutions (e.g., VPN policies, network segmentation, and access control).

- Support ongoing evaluation and testing of new tools such as Network Access Control (NAC).

- Ensure compliance with network security policies and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5-7 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.

- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network platforms.

- Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, VLANs, and VPN technologies.

- Hands-on experience with firewalls and network security.

- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

- Flexibility to work 2nd shift (1 :00 PM - 10 :00 PM IST).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.

- Experience supporting international clients, especially UK-based.

- Exposure to designing solutions (not only operational support).

- Familiarity with VPN policies, segmentation practices, and NAC tools.
