Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled HP NonStop Database Administrator (DBA) with a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience to manage and optimize critical database environments. This is a 12-month Contract-to-Hire role with a hybrid work model, operating primarily in the evening shift (5:30 PM 2:30 AM IST). The core focus is on specialized administration, advanced performance tuning, and full lifecycle support for NonStop SQL/MP, SQL/MX, and Oracle GoldenGate Replication processes to ensure maximum application uptime and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities :

Database Administration and Maintenance :

- Execute core NonStop DBA tasks including Database Product Installation, Maintenance, Planning, Monitoring, Reorgs, Connectivity, and Data Refresh.

- Provide expert support for the management of NonStop SQL/MP and SQL/MX database environments.

- Provide Physical Database Support and coordinate all Production Maintenance Window activities.

- Manage and implement Database Security Enhancement Management policies.

- Maintain and update detailed DBA Procedure Documents for standardized operations.

Performance Tuning and Optimization :

- Drive Application-level Database Performance Tuning initiatives to optimize system throughput.

- Provide expert assistance to application teams on SQL/MP Query design for efficient execution and performance.

- Perform in-depth SQL/MX Query Analysis and Tuning, including necessary SQL/MX Programming enhancements.

- Technically address and resolve complex performance issues such as Locking Conflicts, Latch Contention, and Rollback Requirements.

- Support Tuning and Stress Testing activities at the physical database layer.

Data Replication and Operational Support :

- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and support of Oracle GoldenGate Replication across the entire NonStop environment.

- Manage the full lifecycle of support tickets, including working Incidents, Change Requests, and Problem Tickets/RCAs (Root Cause Analysis) as required.

- Provide mandatory on-call support to ensure 24x7 operational continuity for critical systems.

Qualifications :

- Experience : Minimum 5+ years of direct, relevant experience as a Database Administrator focused on HP NonStop/Tandem environments.

- Core Technical Proficiency : Expert-level knowledge of NonStop SQL/MP and SQL/MX database management, administration, and advanced query tuning.

- Replication Expertise : Mandatory, hands-on experience in implementing, monitoring, and supporting Oracle GoldenGate Replication on the NonStop platform.

- Operational Skills : Proven capability in managing and resolving Incident, Change, and Problem tickets within an ITIL framework.

- Scheduling and Availability : Must be fully available to work the required 5:30 PM 2:30 AM IST shift and provide rotational on-call support.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with Tandem/NonStop proprietary tools for monitoring and performance analysis.

- Background in supporting mission-critical payment or financial processing systems.

- Familiarity with NonStop operating system commands and utilities for low-level diagnostics.

- Certifications related to HP NonStop or Oracle GoldenGate
