We are seeking a highly skilled HiveMQ Consultant to join a smart manufacturing IoT project focused on setting up a new MQTT/HiveMQ architecture on Microsoft Azure. This 6-month contract role involves critical edge-to-cloud integration within a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities :

- MQTT Architecture Design & Implementation : Lead the setup, configuration, clustering, and deployment of MQTT/HiveMQ architecture on Microsoft Azure.

- MQTT Protocol Expertise : Apply deep knowledge of MQTT 3.1.1 and 5.0, including Quality of Service (QoS), retained messages, session expiry, and shared subscriptions.

- Edge-to-Cloud Integration : Implement robust solutions for bridging Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT) systems in a manufacturing environment.

- Enterprise Integrations : Work with HiveMQ extensions for integration with platforms like Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, AWS Kinesis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Snowflake.

- Security Implementation : Implement security measures using HiveMQ Enterprise Security Extension (TLS, authentication/authorization).

- Custom Extensions Development : Build and deploy custom HiveMQ extensions using the open-source SDK.

Development & Automation :

- Utilize MQTT client libraries (Eclipse Paho, HiveMQ Client) in Java, Python, or JavaScript for development.

- Employ MQTT CLI for testing and debugging.

- Work with HiveMQ Swarm or other automation/testing tools.

- Troubleshooting & Optimization : Apply strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to resolve issues and optimize solutions.

- Documentation & Communication : Provide excellent documentation of processes and communicate effectively with the team and stakeholders.

Requirements :

- 3-4 years of experience in manufacturing/industrial IoT solutions.

- Minimum 2 years of dedicated experience working with HiveMQ, SQL, and cloud/edge integration.

- Deep knowledge of MQTT Protocol (3.1.1 and 5.0), including QoS, retained messages, session expiry, and shared subscriptions.

- Hands-on experience with HiveMQ Platform setup, configuration, clustering, and deployment (on-premise, cloud, Kubernetes).

- Proven ability in Edge-to-Cloud Integration for OT and IT systems.

- Familiarity with Sparkplug B protocol for contextual IIoT data.

- Experience with HiveMQ extensions (Kafka, GCP Pub/Sub, AWS Kinesis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Snowflake).

- Strong understanding and implementation experience with HiveMQ Enterprise Security Extension (TLS, authentication/authorization).

- Ability to build and deploy custom HiveMQ extensions using the open-source SDK.

- Proficient with MQTT client libraries (Eclipse Paho, HiveMQ Client) in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Familiarity with MQTT CLI for testing/debugging.

- Experience with HiveMQ Swarm or other automation/testing tools.

- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

- Excellent documentation and communication abilities.

- Experience delivering scalable, production-ready MQTT solutions in industrial environments.

- Time Zone Requirement : If based in India, must have at least 4 hours of overlap with CST.
