Description :

The Head of Product Development will lead the evolution of the company flagship IoT platform, designed to revolutionize water infrastructure management. The role will be responsible for the end-to-end engineering of a system that ingests high-frequency data from thousands of pumping stations, performs real-time edge and cloud analytics, and delivers actionable insights through intuitive dashboards. This role sits at the intersection of Industrial IoT (IIoT) and Predictive Analytics, requiring a leader who can bridge the gap between physical hardware (Sensors, Motors) and sophisticated AI-driven software.

Responsibilities :

IIoT Platform Evolution & Strategy :

- Lead the technical roadmap to scale high-volume data streams from distributed pump systems, convert complex hydraulic and electrical parameters into actionable digital insights, and enable a transition from reactive monitoring to proactive asset management.

Product Development Leadership :

- Lead software and AI/ML teams to deliver high-quality products, define and execute the technology roadmap aligned with business strategy, foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, and mentor engineers across development, architecture, and machine learning.

Scalable Software Architecture & Engineering :

- Oversee the full software development lifecycle, design scalable and secure high-performance architectures, enforce engineering best practices, and build modern systems integrating APIs, microservices, and AI/ML. Ensure 24/7 reliable microservices with low-latency alerts, optimize time-series data pipelines for analytics, and manage secure multi-tenant cloud environments.

AI / ML Development & Deployment :

- Lead the development and deployment of AI/ML models for predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and automation, guiding teams across data preparation to production. Optimize model performance, embed AI-driven insights into products, and build solutions for predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and real-time anomaly detection.

Hardware-Software Integration :

- Collaborate with embedded teams to enable seamless data flow from field to cloud via MQTT/HTTP, and ensure secure, fail-safe remote control capabilities including on/off and motor speed management.

Technology Strategy & Innovation :

- Drive adoption of modern technologies across databases, backend, frontend, AI/ML, and cloud platforms, implement microservices and API-driven architectures, lead DevOps with CI/CD and automation, and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance performance and capabilities.

Project Delivery & Product Execution :

- Manage multiple product initiatives to ensure timely, high-quality delivery, implement agile methodologies, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and ensure systems meet performance, reliability, and security standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Act as the bridge between engineering and business, translating complex technical concepts into actionable insights, supporting teams with AI-driven solutions, and presenting architecture, roadmaps, and analytics to leadership.

- Backend : .NET, Python (with FastAPI/Flask), Java, Node.js

- Frontend : React, Angular (Focus on real-time telemetry visualization and GIS mapping), JavaScript frameworks

Databases :

- MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Time-Series DBs (e.g., InfluxDB/ TimescaleDB) for sensor logs.

AI / ML :

- TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn (Experience with Time-series forecasting is critical).

Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.

Experience :

- Experience : 12 - 20 years of experience in software development and system architecture.

- 5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.

- Hands-on experience delivering scalable software platforms and AI/ML solutions in production with high-scale data ingestion and real-time analytics.

- Proven experience in cloud-based architectures and modern development frameworks.

- Proven track record in building IoT/IIoT platforms, Energy Management Systems (EMS), or Industrial Automation software.
