Note : This is a founding-level role, initially offered with equity compensation until we raise our Seed round.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Head of Engineering / Founding Tech Lead to take full ownership of KwikMedis technology roadmap, system architecture, and engineering execution.

You will spearhead development across Mobile App, Web App, backend systems, APIs, and logistics infrastructure, and play a critical role in shaping the companys long-term technical vision.

Key Responsibilities :

- Own and define the entire technology roadmap, architecture, and engineering processes.

Lead end-to-end development of:

- Mobile App: React Native (iOS & Android)

- Web App: Next.js

- Backend: Django

- Database: PostgreSQL

- Design, build, and scale delivery, logistics, and order-management systems.

- Ensure high availability, security, scalability, and performance across platforms.

- Oversee and implement third-party integrations (payment gateways, maps, OTP, logistics APIs).

- Manage cloud infrastructure, deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices on AWS.

- Hire, mentor, and build an in-house engineering team as the company scales.

- Collaborate closely with founders on product strategy, technical feasibility, and innovation.

- Prepare the technology stack and documentation for technical due diligence during Seed / Series A fundraising

Required Skills & Experience :

- 5 to 8 years of hands-on engineering experience.

Strong expertise in :

- React Native (iOS & Android)

- Next.js

- Django

- PostgreSQL

- Deep experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, Load Balancers).

- Proven experience scaling consumer apps, preferably in quick-commerce, health-tech, or logistics.

- Strong system design skills for high-availability, low-latency, scalable architectures.

- Solid understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Git, Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).

- Ability to start as an individual contributor and evolve into a team leader.

- Strong ownership mindset with experience in fast-paced startup environments.

Good to Have :

- Experience with real-time tracking, maps, and delivery route optimization.

- Experience building secure, compliance-ready systems (BFSI or healthcare).

- Understanding of on-demand / hyperlocal delivery business models.
