About the Role :

We are looking for a seasoned and strategic- Head- of Engineering- to lead and scale a high- performing engineering organization for a fast- growing, product- driven business. This role is ideal for a leader with deep experience in- core engineering, enterprise- grade product development, engineering transformation, and people leadership.

The ideal candidate will bring- 20+ years of experience- across- software development, QA, platform engineering, and engineering leadership, with a strong track record of building and leading- senior engineering leaders, driving- technology modernization, and creating robust delivery structures such as- COE (Center of Excellence) models.

This is a high- impact role for someone who has operated in organizations undergoing a- strong transformation journey- whether in SaaS, digital product, EV, mobility, or technology- first enterprises.

Key Responsibilities :

Engineering Leadership :

- Lead the end- to- end engineering function across- software development, QA, platform engineering, architecture, and delivery excellence.

- Build, mentor, and manage a strong layer of- senior engineering leaders, engineering managers, architects, and cross- functional technical teams.

- Define and execute the engineering vision aligned to the company's product and business strategy.

- Establish a high- accountability, high- performance engineering culture focused on quality, speed, ownership, and innovation.

Technology & Product Delivery :

- Own engineering delivery for large- scale, business- critical platforms and products.

- Drive architecture, scalability, reliability, and security across engineering systems.

- Partner closely with Product, Business, Operations, and Leadership teams to deliver robust, customer- centric digital solutions.

- Ensure engineering teams are aligned to business priorities, roadmap commitments, and platform growth objectives.

Transformation & Operating Model :

- Lead engineering organizations through- modernization and transformation phases, including process, architecture, quality, and org redesign.

- Build and institutionalize- COE / shared engineering capability models- across key functions such as QA, DevOps, platform engineering, performance, and engineering excellence.

- Drive adoption of engineering best practices, SDLC maturity, agile delivery models, automation, and quality engineering frameworks.

- Improve engineering efficiency, release predictability, and operational resilience.

People & Organization Building :

- Scale and structure engineering teams for growth, productivity, and long- term capability building.

- Coach and develop leaders across engineering, ensuring succession planning and leadership depth.

- Hire top engineering talent across development, architecture, quality, and platform roles.

- Foster collaboration, innovation, and engineering excellence across distributed or multi- layered teams.

Candidate Profile :

Must- Have Experience :

- 20+ years- of overall experience in software engineering and technology leadership.

- Proven experience in a- Head- of Engineering / Engineering- Director- / Senior Engineering Leadership- role.

- Strong background in- core engineering, with hands- on roots in- software development- and the ability to lead large engineering organizations.

- Experience managing and influencing- senior engineering leaders, including Engineering Managers, Directors, Architects, QA leaders, and delivery- heads.

- Demonstrated leadership across both- Software Development- and- QA / Quality Engineering- functions.

- Strong experience in- Java- based engineering ecosystems- and modern enterprise application environments.

- Experience working in- product- based or SaaS- led companies.

- Prior exposure to organizations in a- transformation / modernization phase.

- Experience in setting up or scaling- COE models / engineering excellence functions.

- Strong understanding of platform engineering, engineering operations, architecture governance, and quality- led delivery
