Mandatory Requirements

- Strong Head of Engineering / Engineering Director / VP Engineering Profiles.

- Must have minimum 15+ years of overall experience in software engineering roles

- Must have minimum 8+ years of experience in senior engineering leadership roles (Head of Engineering, Director, Engineering Manager, or equivalent)

- Must have strong hands-on proficiency in .NET, Python, and Node.js, with the ability to guide teams on coding standards and best practices

- Must have solid experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, specifically PostgreSQL and MongoDB

- Must have strong understanding of system architecture principles, scalable system design, and hands-on experience with design patterns such as DDD and CQRS

- Must have hands-on experience building and scaling cloud-native microservices, preferably on Azure, with strong exposure to Docker and Kubernetes

- Must have proven experience building, mentoring, and scaling high-performing engineering teams across ERP, POS, and Integration platforms

- Must have ownership of end-to-end product delivery, including planning, execution, release management, and production readiness for SaaS

- Candidate should be from Kolkata or neayby states, Do ensure their willingness to relocate if they are not from Kolkata

- Preferred : Exposure to mobile application development or architecture using Flutter is a plus.

- Preferred : Must have experience working in fast-paced startup or scale-up environments with the ability to lead and operate large engineering teams within a structured B2B SaaS organization.

Job role :

We are seeking a highly accomplished Head of Engineering to lead our engineering organization across multiple product lines. This leader will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable SaaS products and platforms while driving architectural modernization, cross-product integration, and innovation. The role demands strong technical leadership, people management, and operational excellence, reporting directly to the CTO.

This role is ideal for a seasoned engineering leader passionate about building scalable and reliable products. in a fast-paced environment while fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and teamwork.

Ideal Candidate :

- 15 years of engineering experience, with at least 8+ years in senior leadership roles.

- Proficiency in various programming languages (Dot Net, Python, Node), Databases (Postgres, Mongo), frameworks, and tools

- Strong understanding of system architecture principles, design patterns (DDD and CQRS) and best practices.

- Understanding of mobile applications with Flutter.

- Deep experience in cloud-native (Azure) microservices, container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), event-driven systems.

- Proven track record of shipping products faster by removing friction in the development lifecycle.

- Strong understanding of both architecture at scale and day-to-day engineering realities.

- Startup-style bias for action, yet with the maturity to run large teams in a structured SaaS environment.
