Role Overview :

As the Head of Technology for our B2C E-commerce division based in Delhi, you will serve as the primary architect of our digital ecosystem, steering the platform through its next phase of hyper-growth. You will lead cross-functional engineering, product, and data teams to build seamless, high-traffic consumer experiences that handle millions of transactions with precision. By collaborating closely with the C-suite and business stakeholders, you will translate complex market demands into scalable technical roadmaps. Your leadership will directly influence customer retention, platform reliability, and the overall competitive edge of our brand in a fast-paced retail landscape.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the end-to-end development of robust, scalable e-commerce platforms to ensure 99.9% uptime during peak traffic periods and seasonal sales.

- Lead and mentor high-performing engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, agile delivery, and continuous innovation to meet aggressive business timelines.

- Define the long-term technology strategy, including cloud infrastructure, microservices architecture, and API integrations, to support rapid business expansion and feature deployment.

- Partner with product management and marketing leadership to translate business requirements into high-impact technical solutions that enhance user conversion and customer lifetime value.

- Implement rigorous security protocols and data governance frameworks to protect sensitive consumer information and ensure compliance with industry standards.

- Optimize the technology stack and development lifecycle to reduce technical debt and improve the velocity of product releases across web and mobile platforms.

Technical Expertise :

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in: React.js, React Native, Node.js, Java, Go, Python, Microservices Architecture, Distributed Systems, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Redis, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, API Development, Event-Driven Architecture, and Data Structures & Algorithms (DSA).

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling high-concurrency B2C e-commerce platforms, with a deep understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.

- Proven ability to lead large-scale engineering organizations, with a focus on talent development, performance management, and building collaborative, cross-functional cultures.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical strategies to non-technical stakeholders and influence executive decision-making.

- Strong strategic mindset, capable of balancing immediate operational needs with long-term technical vision in a highly competitive market.

- Extensive experience managing complex budgets, vendor relationships, and technical procurement processes to ensure cost-efficiency and operational excellence.

- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute, complemented by 15 - 20 years of progressive experience in the technology domain.

- Ability to thrive in an on-site work environment in Delhi, driving hands-on leadership and fostering direct collaboration with local teams.
