Head - Cloud Platform

Role purpose :

To drive Platform planning, deployment & Operations across all domains - Core, RAN and Transport. This includes Cloud planning and deployment & managing all the applications which are hosted on the cloud.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

Strategic :

- Planning, Deployment and Operations Management of Cloud Infrastructure

- E2E owner of planning & deployment of cloud infra which hosts multiple tools viz Groundhog, Ribbon, Mycom, Netcool, NIAM. 30+ applications are live on cloud

- Plan and carry out upgrade of OCP and OSP including firmware and OS of 2000+ servers live across 10 OSP and OCP cloud instances.

- Handle the planning, deployment and operations of Leaf, Spine, firewall, load balancer and Storage

- Ensuring the cloud infrastructure complies with the Airtel security policies.

- Platform Operations

- New adaptor development as required to integrate OSS , nodes with Mycom, Netcool, NIAM etc

- Ensuring data sanity across platforms.

- Application availability, Redundancy planning and implementation.

- Handle operations of Ribbon's VoLTE analytics comprising of 192 DCE instances and 17 Analytics clusters.

- Manage the life cycle of the application by carrying out upgrades as per requirement.

- NMS Operations

- Handle 2L1 and L2 operations related to transport nms.

- Manage the upgrades to support device eco-system

- Network Insights

- Design and enhance logics related to Event Correlations to bring out Network insights

- OSS Analytics reports and automation for TRAI, USO, Regulatory

- Central Observability for applications to identify deviations and improve availability - Developmental Objectives

- Foster Team collaboration across Circles/Regions

- Strong Leadership skills with extensive experience of working with Cross functional teams across functions and vendors

- Self-Starter, Customer Focused

- Strong Analytics, able to maneuver in a Multi stake holder environment with Clear Communication Skills

- Good knowledge of Multi technologies in a complex multi-vendor multi-system environment

Must have technical/professional qualifications :

- Bachelor of Engineering -Electronics & Telecommunications

- Extensive knowledge of Call flows across Multi technologies in Transport, RAN and Core.

- Min 20 + years of Experience in Network Operations, Performance management and governance of multivendor and multi-technology networks.
