Job Description

Job Role : Automotive Hardware Engineer

Experience : 5 to 10 Years

Location : Chennai / Pollachi

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Hardware Engineer responsible for the technical delivery of automotive electronics hardware for global vehicle OEMs. The candidate will work on projects including Instrument Clusters, In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI), Information Displays, and Cockpit Electronics Controllers, ensuring high-quality design, development, and testing of automotive hardware systems.

Key Responsibilities :


- Independently lead electrical hardware design tasks and review customer specifications.


- Design and develop automotive products involving Microcontrollers, SoCs, High-Speed Memory, LVDS, FPD-Link III circuitry, and other high-speed design requirements.


- Design Microprocessor and DSP digital cores, audio, camera, and video signal processing circuits, analog/digital control logic, linear and switching power supplies for automotive applications.


- Perform worst-case analysis and simulations to ensure compliance with customer requirements.


- Support product design reviews and maintain schematic and assembly drawings within the change management structure.


- Develop and maintain Electrical DFMEA.


- Generate electrical information for ECAD PCB layout and support ECAD designers.


- Support hardware prototype builds and product verification testing.


- Assist with EMC and validation testing, applying structured problem-solving for test failure resolution.


- Present design, analysis, and test results to customers.


- Hands-on experience with lab equipment : power supplies, oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters, etc.


Required Skills & Experience :


- Strong experience in automotive electronics hardware design.


- Hands-on experience with Microcontrollers, SoCs, DSPs, and high-speed circuitry.


- Knowledge of analog and digital control logic, audio/video signal processing, power supply design.


- Experience with LVDS, FPD-Link III, and other high-speed interfaces.


- Familiarity with DFMEA, PCB layout process, prototype build, and validation testing.


- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


- Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.


- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
