Halma India - Azure Engineer - IAC Terraform

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Azure Engineer to join our cloud infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will play a key role in cloud strategy, system architecture, deployment automation, and maintaining high availability and performance of Azure environments.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, deploy, and manage Azure infrastructure including virtual networks, virtual machines, storage solutions, load balancers, and identity management.

- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure resources for cost, performance, and security.

- Collaborate with application developers and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native application deployments.

- Manage Azure Active Directory (AAD), RBAC roles, and integrate with on-premises AD when required.

- Set up and manage Azure Backup, Site Recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.

- Configure and monitor security controls using Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Security Center, NSGs, and firewalls.

- Ensure compliance with security standards and governance policies.

- Support migrations of on-premises workloads to Azure using tools like Azure Migrate.

- Document cloud architectures, processes, and procedures.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with core Azure services :

1. Azure Compute (VMs, App Services, AKS)

2. Networking (VNet, VPN, ExpressRoute, Load Balancer, Application Gateway)

3. Storage (Blob, File, Disk, Azure Files)

4. Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights

- Experience with PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash scripting.

- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Terraform / ARM / Bicep.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).

- Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).

- Knowledge of security best practices and Azure Identity & Access Management (IAM).

- Exposure to DevOps principles and Agile methodologies.

Good to Have :

Azure certifications such as :

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate

- Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert

- Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and on-premise integrations.

- Knowledge of cost management and optimization tools in Azure.
