Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer - GOSU Programming

Job Overview :

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter, strong programming skills in Gosu, and hands-on experience in configuring and integrating PolicyCenter within P&C insurance ecosystems. This role requires close collaboration with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and other stakeholders to implement business requirements and deliver high-quality technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Analyze, design, and implement changes to the PolicyCenter data model, product model, rating engine, and underwriting rules.

- Develop and consume web services (SOAP/REST) for integration with third-party systems and internal applications.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve configuration and integration issues.

- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning as part of an Agile/Scrum development team.

- Maintain source code using version control tools such as Git or Bitbucket.

- Ensure adherence to development standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications :

- Proficient in Gosu programming language and development using Guidewire Studio.

- In-depth understanding of PolicyCenter data model, product model, and rating engine.

- Experience in implementing and customizing underwriting rules.

- Strong knowledge of SOAP/RESTful web services and API integrations.

- Solid understanding of the Property & Casualty insurance domain.

- Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Bitbucket.

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
