Guidewire Developer - PolicyCenter Module

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer with strong expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, integration, and development.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Guidewire Rating Engine, Gosu programming, and Java development, along with solid knowledge of P&C insurance domains.

Experience working in onsite-offshore models is essential.

Key Responsibilities :

- Coordinate between onsite and offshore teams to resolve production incidents.

- Review development work in PCF configuration, business rules, and data model creation.

- Provide technical support for Guidewire PolicyCenter applications in production environments.

- Manage and communicate team status to onsite management.

- Analyze and coordinate defect resolutions with integration and service provider teams.

- Ensure applications remain stable and operational through proactive monitoring and issue management.

Technical Skills :

- Design, develop, and unit test solutions using Guidewire Rating Module.

- Define and implement rating engine and related system changes.

- Hands-on Gosu development.

- Strong knowledge of Guidewire Configuration and/or Integration.

- Proficiency in Design Patterns, OOP, UML, and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design.

- Experience with application design tools and frameworks such as Spring, Maven, Eclipse.

Excellent troubleshooting abilities in complex application stacks.

Must Have :

- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter.

- Strong P&C insurance domain knowledge.

- In-depth expertise in Guidewire Rating platform (UI, Data Model, Studio, etc.

- 3-4 years of experience in Java development.

- Strong understanding of Design Patterns and OOP principles.

- Experience working in an onsite-offshore delivery model.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Good to Have :

- Guidewire PolicyCenter Certification.

- Experience with REST web services.

- Familiarity with code versioning systems such as SVN.

- Direct customer-facing experience.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
