About the Role :

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire ClaimCenter Developer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, and support of Guidewire ClaimCenter applications. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter 9.0 or higher, strong technical skills in application development, and the ability to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions in the Property & Casualty insurance domain.


Key Responsibilities :


- Develop and configure Guidewire ClaimCenter modules using best practices and standardized coding guidelines.

- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and QA teams to understand requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

- Design and implement integrations with external systems via RESTful and SOAP web services.

- Write efficient SQL queries and work with relational (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) and NoSQL databases for data retrieval and manipulation.

- Use monitoring tools like AppDynamics to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues.

- Debug complex technical issues in production environments and provide timely resolutions.

- Apply object-oriented design principles and Guidewire-specific configuration techniques to create reusable, extensible components.

- Follow continuous integration and DevOps practices using Jenkins, GUNIT, GitLab, and related tools.

- Estimate, plan, and track development tasks and deliverables effectively.

- Maintain high code quality with thorough testing, code reviews, and documentation.

- Stay updated with the latest Guidewire releases, tools, and industry best practices.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of ClaimCenter features.


Required Qualifications :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

- 5 to 8 years of professional IT experience in application development.

- Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter 9.0 or higher configuration and development.

- Strong proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MongoDB, etc.).

- Experience with integrating Guidewire applications with RESTful and SOAP web services.

- Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools such as AppDynamics.

- Solid understanding of object-oriented design and development best practices.

- Experience in writing clear, detailed functional and technical specifications.

- Skilled in estimating, planning, and task management in software projects.

- Experience troubleshooting production issues and optimizing application performance.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices including Jenkins, GUNIT, GitLab.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an Agile environment.

- Knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance domain is a strong advantage.
