Job Summary :

We are seeking a skilled Guidewire BillingCenter Engineer with strong expertise in both Configuration and Integration for Guidewire BillingCenter platforms.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting billing solutions that align with business requirements and enterprise standards within the insurance domain.

The candidate should possess hands-on experience in BillingCenter development, integration with enterprise applications, troubleshooting production issues, and optimizing application performance in a collaborative Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure, customize, and maintain Guidewire BillingCenter applications based on business requirements.

- Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP web services, messaging systems, and batch interfaces.

- Design and implement BillingCenter workflows, business rules, UI configurations, and data model customizations.

- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to deliver scalable billing solutions.

- Prepare technical design documents, functional specifications, and integration documentation.

- Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and defect resolution activities.

- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions to ensure business continuity.

- Identify application performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies.

- Ensure compliance with Guidewire development standards, coding best practices, and governance policies.

- Support CI/CD processes, build automation, and deployment activities using DevOps tools.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog discussions.

- Monitor applications using tools such as AppDynamics and support operational stability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.

Required Skills & Competencies :

- Strong hands-on experience in Guidewire BillingCenter Configuration and Integration.

- Experience working with Guidewire BillingCenter 9.0 or higher.

- Expertise in Guidewire components including PCF, Gosu, Rules Engine, Workflows, and Data Model.

- Strong understanding of object-oriented design and development best practices.

- Experience integrating applications using RESTful APIs and SOAP web services.

- Proficiency in Java, Gosu, XML, JSON, SQL, and database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with Guidewire Studio and Guidewire development tools.

- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and practices including Jenkins, GitLab, and JUnit.

- Experience with application monitoring and troubleshooting tools such as AppDynamics.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and performance tuning skills.

- Knowledge of estimating, planning, and tracking development activities.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices.

- Ability to write configurable, maintainable, and testable code in collaborative environments.

- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field.

- Guidewire BillingCenter Certification is preferred.

- Experience in Property & Casualty insurance domain is an added advantage.

- Exposure to Guidewire Cloud implementations or migration projects is preferred.

- Experience with cloud deployment and enterprise integration frameworks is a plus
