GTPL Hathway - L1 Network Operation Support Engineer - Monitoring Tools

Key Responsibilities :

- Perform configuration and troubleshooting of network devices including VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel

- Monitor network performance and respond promptly to alerts and incidents using network monitoring and ticketing tools

- Troubleshoot LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and GPON network (OLT and ONT) issues

- Assist in network device configuration under supervision and escalate unresolved issues to senior teams or vendors

- Document incidents, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs)

- Manage RMA processes for hardware issues diagnosed during support

- Participate in network design discussions and capacity planning activities

- Travel to customer sites as required to resolve support requests

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Hands-on experience with switching protocols: VLAN, STP, VTP, EtherChannel

- Strong understanding of routing protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting

- Experience with GPON network devices including basic configuration and troubleshooting of OLT and ONT

- Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT

- Familiarity with network security concepts such as ACLs, VPNs, and firewalls

- Proficient with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems

- Experience with packet analyzers like Wireshark is a plus

- Ability to work in rotational shifts (NOC role)
