Job Description :

We are seeking a seasoned Senior BI Developer with 6+ years of experience to design, build, and maintain robust data visualization and analytics solutions. The ideal candidate will possess expert-level mastery of Microsoft Power BI to transform complex data into actionable business insights. Strong proficiency in SQL is highly desirable to optimize data extraction, mapping, and database performance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Dashboard Development : Design, develop, and deploy high-performance Power BI dashboards and reports.

- Data Modeling : Create scalable, complex logical and physical data models using DAX and Power Query.

- Requirements Gathering : Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate raw requirements into technical specifications.

- Performance Tuning : Optimize slow-running dashboards, data refreshes, and underlying data models.

- Data Governance : Implement row-level security (RLS) and manage workspaces within the Power BI Service.

- Data Extraction : Write and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures to source data for reporting.

- Mentorship : Provide technical guidance and best practices to junior team members and business analysts.

Required Technical Skills :

- Power BI Expert : Minimum of 6 years of dedicated hands-on experience building enterprise-scale Power BI solutions.

- DAX & Power Query : Advanced knowledge of Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) and M language for complex calculations.

- Gateway & Service : Proven experience managing Power BI Service, data gateways, and scheduled refreshes.

- Data Warehousing : Strong understanding of dimensional modeling, star schemas, and ETL/ELT concepts.

- Domain : Prior experience in Retail Industry will be an advantage.

Preferred/Good-to-Have Skills :

- Advanced SQL : Strong ability to write complex queries, joins, and subqueries for data validation.

- Cloud Platforms : Experience with Azure data services like Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, or Data Factory.

- Other Tools : Familiarity with Paginated Reports (SSRS) or Python/R integration inside Power BI.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related field.

- Exceptional communication skills to bridge the gap between technical data and business users.

- Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
