Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Monitor database performance and perform tuning for optimal efficiency.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery through backup and recovery strategies (RMAN, Data Guard, etc.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
- Support database-related activities during application development, deployment, and upgrades.
- Implement security policies and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Create and maintain database documentation, including procedures, standards, and diagrams.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and application support teams.
- Conduct health checks and proactively identify performance and capacity issues.
Qualifications and Skills :
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Administrator/Consultant.
- Proficiency in Oracle versions 11g, 12c, and above.
- Strong skills in performance tuning, database optimization, and query tuning.
- Experience with Oracle Data Guard, RMAN, ASM, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
- Solid understanding of PL/SQL and scripting (Shell, Python, etc.
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with Oracle security best practices and compliance requirements.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is a plus
