Grid Dynamics - Senior Android Developer - Java/Kotlin

Job Description :

The Tech Stack :

- Languages : Java (Core), Kotlin

- UI Framework : Jetpack Compose

- Platform : Android (Core frameworks & Google-specific libraries)

- Data : SQL (Log analysis and data extraction)

- Environment : High-scale enterprise systems

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and Maintain : Write clean, efficient code in Java and Kotlin, focusing on both new feature development and the maintenance of existing frameworks.

- Testing & Quality : Author and fix unit/integration tests to ensure high-quality delivery.

- Debugging : Use advanced analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues within the JVM and Android runtime environments.

- Data Analysis : Design and execute SQL queries to extract and interpret relevant data from system logs for troubleshooting and optimization.

- Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews and architectural discussions.

Candidate Requirements :

Minimum Qualifications :

Experience :

- 3+ years of professional experience with Java (must be proficient in reading/writing code and understanding JVM runtime).

- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.

- Experience with SQL, specifically for designing queries to extract data from logs.

- Good spoken and written English (Upper Intermediate B2 or above).

Work Environment : Readiness to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

Nice to Have :

- Android Fundamentals : Basic understanding of how Android apps work "under the hood" and experience with app-level debugging.

- Telecommunications : Basic understanding of Telecom or RBM/RCS (Rich Business Messaging/Rich Communication Services) protocols.

- Modern Android : Familiarity with Jetpack Compose and modern Google-specific framework implementations.
