Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Staff Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across complex software engineering initiatives.

The role requires a strong hands-on engineer with expertise in system design, distributed systems, scalable architecture, and end-to-end product development.

The candidate will work closely with engineering, product, architecture, and business teams to design and deliver highly scalable, reliable, secure, and maintainable software systems.

This position requires strong technical ownership, architectural thinking, and the ability to mentor engineers while remaining deeply involved in implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the technical design and development of complex, high-scale software systems.

- Define scalable and resilient application architectures aligned with business and product requirements.

- Drive end-to-end engineering initiatives from requirement analysis and architecture through development, testing, deployment, and production support.

- Design and implement distributed systems, microservices, APIs, and backend services.

- Identify technical challenges and develop scalable solutions for performance, reliability, and maintainability.

- Establish engineering best practices around coding standards, design patterns, testing, observability, and security.

- Conduct architecture and code reviews and provide technical direction to engineering teams.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Architects, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Mentor senior and junior engineers and contribute to the development of engineering talent.

- Lead initiatives involving system modernization, scalability improvements, and technical debt reduction.

- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for optimization.

- Ensure applications meet requirements for availability, scalability, security, and operational reliability.

- Contribute to incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and long-term corrective actions.

- Drive automation across development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.

Technical Skills:

- Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, or similar.

- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.

- Expertise in system design and distributed systems.

- Experience with microservices and RESTful/API-based architectures.

- Strong database knowledge across relational and NoSQL databases.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.

- Strong understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and automated testing.

- Experience with monitoring, logging, observability, and performance engineering.

- Strong understanding of application security and secure development practices.

- Experience with Git and modern software development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience building large-scale consumer or enterprise products.

- Experience working with high-throughput and high-availability systems.

- Exposure to event-driven architectures.

- Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives.

- Strong experience with cloud-native application development.
