Job Description

Google Cloud Engineer to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure, enhance security, identify vulnerabilities in code, and support release management. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, cloud security best practices, and DevOps processes.


Responsibilities :


- Design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

- Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for performance and cost efficiency.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in a scalable cloud environment.

- Implement cloud security best practices, ensuring identity & access management (IAM) policies are in place.

- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities in the cloud infrastructure and application code.

- Ensure compliance with industry security standards (e. g., ISO, SOC2 HIPAA).

- Perform static and dynamic code analysis to identify security vulnerabilities.

- Collaborate with development teams to fix security flaws in applications and infrastructure code (IaC).

- Automate security checks using CI/CD pipelines and integrate DevSecOps principles.

- Manage release cycles, deployments, and rollbacks in a cloud-native environment.

- Support CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Google Cloud Build.

- Work closely with developers and QA teams to ensure smooth deployment of applications.


Requirements :


- 4- 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer, preferably with GCP.

- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud services (e. g., Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud Functions, Kubernetes Engine).

- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Google Deployment Manager.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go) for automation.

- Experience with security tools like Google Security Command Center, SonarQube, or Snyk

- Understanding of containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes (GKE).

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and release management processes.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced DevOps environment.
