Role Overview :

As a Backend Engineer - DNS & Systems (Go/Golang), you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining our core DNS infrastructure and related systems.

You'll collaborate closely with our infrastructure, security, and development teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our DNS services. Your work will directly impact the performance and availability of our services, influencing the experience of millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable and reliable DNS infrastructure using Go/Golang for internal and external clients.

- Implement and manage automation tools and scripts to streamline system administration tasks, improving efficiency for the operations team.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex DNS and system-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime for our services.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for DNS configurations, system architecture, and operational procedures, enabling knowledge sharing across teams.

- Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices for DNS infrastructure, protecting against potential threats.

- Participate in on-call rotations to provide timely support for critical DNS and system-related incidents, ensuring business continuity.

- Contribute to the development and implementation of monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues, improving overall system stability.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in Go/Golang programming language, with a strong understanding of concurrency and distributed systems.

- Proven ability to design, implement, and manage DNS infrastructure (e.g., BIND, PowerDNS, CoreDNS) in a Linux environment.

- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and network security principles.

- Experience with system administration tasks, including server configuration, performance tuning, and security hardening.

- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation and system management.

- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, demonstrating self-discipline and strong time management skills.
