Role Overview:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, scaling, and maintaining the robust infrastructure that powers GoKwik's high-traffic commerce platform. You will work closely with engineering and product teams to streamline deployment pipelines, enhance system reliability, and ensure our services remain resilient under heavy load. Your contributions will directly impact the checkout experience for millions of end-users, ensuring that our platform remains fast, secure, and available 24/7.

Key Responsibilities:

- Architect and manage highly available, scalable infrastructure on AWS to support rapid business growth and high transaction volumes.

- Design and implement container orchestration strategies using Kubernetes to ensure efficient service deployment and resource management.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

- Automate CI/CD workflows to accelerate release cycles and improve the reliability of software deployments across production and staging environments.

- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs and security posture by implementing best practices in resource tagging, access control, and network security.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis for system incidents.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale production environments on AWS, with a deep understanding of VPCs, IAM, EC2, and RDS.

- Proven ability to orchestrate complex microservices architectures using Kubernetes, including managing clusters, ingress controllers, and service meshes.

- Strong proficiency in observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog to maintain high system uptime and performance visibility.

- Experience in building and managing automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Ability to write infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and reproducible environment deployments.

- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical challenges and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- A minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles.

- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment based out of our Gurgaon office, collaborating with distributed teams to meet aggressive project timelines.
