About The Role:

Were looking for a Lead Engineer to drive the growth of our Credentials Team which empowers creators to design and issue beautiful, customizable certificates and badgesa product seeing hyper adoption at 25% month-over-month growth.

Youll lead and develop both the frontend and backend systems that bring this creative experience to life, scaling it across millions of users.

In this role, youll shape the technical vision for how credentials are created, issued, verified, and celebrated globally.

Youll partner with design, product, and infrastructure teams to craft a platform that feels as inspiring to build on as it is to use transforming how creators recognize learning, collaboration, and success across our ecosystem.

Responsibilities :

- Own the end-to-end architecture and technical direction for the Credentials platform, powering certificate and badge creation, issuance, and verification at scale.

- Lead development across both frontend and backend, building high-performance, visually rich interfaces and resilient API systems that integrate with Courses, Communities, and Client Portal.

- Design and evolve our certificate editor and rendering engine, enabling creators to design and distribute personalized credentials with ease and automated delivery workflows.

- Architect and maintain scalable systems and APIs that ensure reliability, performance, and a seamless experience for millions of users.

- Build and lead major product features end-to-end from concept and system design to production rollout and performance tuning.

- Debug complex UI performance, rendering, and reactivity issues, ensuring fluid, high-fidelity user experiences at scale.

- Think deeply about developer experience (DX) and component reusability, shaping shared patterns and improving development velocity.

- Partner closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to translate creator needs into elegant technical solutions and engaging user workflows.

- Champion code quality, observability, and developer efficiency, improving CI/CD pipelines, testing coverage, and performance monitoring.

- Mentor engineers across squads, guiding architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownership.

- Explore and integrate AI-powered tools to enhance design workflows, automate generation, and accelerate development productivity.

Requirements:

- 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in a lead role driving large-scale, user-facing products.

- Strong full-stack expertise, with deep proficiency in frontend frameworks ( Vue. js , Nuxt, or React) and solid experience building scalable backend services.

- Proven experience architecting high-performance, interactive applications with strong design sensibilities and attention to detail.

- Deep understanding of frontend optimization, rendering lifecycles, and advanced UI performance techniques.

- Solid backend engineering skills, with hands-on experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and data models ( Node.js , NestJS, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).

- Skilled at leading architecture discussions, refactors, and performance improvements across teams and codebases.

- Experience implementing observability and performance monitoring practices to ensure reliability and uptime.

- Demonstrated ability to mentorengineers, set technical direction, and drive initiatives across squads.

- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a product-focused mindset and passion for empowering creators at scale.
