Job Summary :

The Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, installation, maintenance, and management of the organization's telecommunications infrastructure including contact centre platforms and branch connectivity. This role ensures that all telecom systems, including voice, data, and network communications, operate efficiently and securely. The Telecom Manager will lead a team of technicians and engineers, coordinate with vendors and service providers, and implement strategies to optimize telecom services while managing costs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, implement, and manage the organization's telecommunication systems, including PBX, Contact centre platform, VoIP, mobile communications, internet, and data networks.

- Oversee daily operations and maintenance of telecom infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

- Lead and supervise telecom team members, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.

- Coordinate with vendors and service providers to negotiate contracts, purchase equipment, and resolve service issues.

- Develop and enforce telecom policies, standards, and procedures to ensure security, compliance, best practices, and market trends.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as IRDAI and TRAI regulations.

- Manage telecom budgets, track expenses, and optimize costs related to telecom services and equipment.

- Monitor telecom network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions promptly.

- Stay updated with the latest telecom technologies and recommend upgrades or improvements.

- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate telecom systems with overall IT infrastructure.

- Prepare reports on telecom usage, performance metrics, and incident resolutions for senior management.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to telecommunications.

Qualifications :

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience :

- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in telecom management or related roles.

- Proven experience managing telecom infrastructure, including VoIP, PBX, WAN/LAN, mobile networks.

- Experience with telecom contract negotiation and vendor management.

Skills :

- Strong understanding of telecom systems, network architecture, and protocols.

- Proficient in telecom software tools and management platforms.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

- Effective communication and people skills.
