GoComet - Quality Assurance Lead - Automation Testing

We are seeking a QA Lead to own and drive the quality strategy, process discipline, and technical leadership of our QA function. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and a talented SDET team to scale our quality practices, instill best-in-class processes, and ensure every release meets the highest standards.

You'll be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader, shaping how quality is thought about and executed across the company.

The core responsibilities for the job include the following :

Strategy and Process Ownership :

- Define and implement an org-wide test strategy and quality gates.

- Bring clarity and ownership to test planning, regression coverage, release criteria, and exploratory testing.

- Define and maintain quality metrics dashboards for engineering and business visibility (i.e., release readiness, test coverage, failure rate, defect leakage).

Team Leadership :

- Mentor, guide, and coach existing automation engineers

- Lead initiatives like test audits, coverage reviews, and flaky test management.

- Help design and evolve the QA career ladder, growth paths, and upskilling programs.

Technical Leadership :

- Evaluate and improve test frameworks, CI/CD integrations, and tooling.

- Champion non-functional testing (performance, security, load) alongside functional testing.

- Drive data-driven testing strategies and reporting.

Cross-functional Collaboration :

- Work closely with Product and Engineering leads to ensure smooth releases.

- Participate in sprint planning, grooming, and release retrospectives.

Requirements :

- 5-8 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with at least 2 years leading teams or QA projects.

- Deep understanding of test strategy, coverage metrics, and CI/CD-based QA.

- Strong automation skills (i.e. Selenium, Playwright, or similar frameworks).

- Track record of improving test maturity, processes, and team discipline.

- Experience working in agile, fast-paced product teams.

- Exposure to performance or security testing tools.

- Experience building QA functions from early stages, or scaling and growing QA teams.

- Prior experience in a B2B SaaS or logistics-tech environment
