Senior QA Engineer (Playwright) II

Key Responsibilities :
- Own and drive test automation strategy across web and API layers.
- Build and maintain modular, scalable, and production-quality frameworks in Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript).
- Design, execute, and optimize test plans, test cases, and strategies for complex applications.
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Perform backend validations with SQL/PostgreSQL/MySQL.
- Ensure test stability, debug issues, and continuously improve frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to ensure smooth Agile releases.
- Mentor junior engineers on coding practices, automation design, and QA methodologies.
- Track and own release documentation, risk assessments, and test reports.
Requirements :
- 5- 7 years of QA experience with a strong focus on automation.
- Solid coding and problem-solving skills with deep understanding of programming fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript) - minimum 12 years.
- Strong programming background in JavaScript/TypeScript (core concepts, data structures, design patterns, debugging).
- Experience with API test automation (Playwright, Axios, or similar).
- Familiarity with CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
- Skilled in SQL/MySQL/PostgreSQL for backend validations.
- Strong grasp of QA methodologies, test lifecycles, and Agile principles.
- Demonstrated ability to lead test strategies and contribute meaningfully in Agile ceremonies.
- Prior experience in mentoring team members and driving best practices.
Nice-to-Haves :
- Exposure to AWS or cloud environments.
- Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes & microservices.
- Experience with performance and security testing tools.
